@zenmoron if you're on windows you could try my modified build from which has a hack also for this series(it's optional ~ under graphic settings). Source code of the hacks included, so you can always build your own if you need it for different platform than windows or will need to update. It will probably not be fixed in official versions anytime soon since it stopped working after fixing other games, the hack just restores part of the wrong code that made it and one other series run accidently ~ existing issue for this can be found and is the commit that caused it(which we partially revert as the hack). Version of the game shouldn't matter for this issue as both game from the series are affected, also chinese fan made translations usually have more problems since they are often using weird ways to load that need extra work for emulator.
As for disabling multithreading(if that's even what Lawcy ment since you can't disable 'CPU thread') I doubt it would fix the known freeze bug. I wouldn't really recommend even enabling it from the start through, as it's known to cause additional issues in some games and it's also just pointless in many situations(not needed on most pc's, slowing down games on devices with slower cpu's like many mobiles). ========================== CWCheat version of the hack to avoid custom builds and code pollution.
