Nbme Step 2 Ck Form 6 Offline Music

I did UWorld Step 2 Qbank throughout the year for my shelf exams, single pass for each exam, also did the NBME practice tests for each shelf. I had a 3 week dedicated period for Step 2 during which I redid exactly 50% of UWorld (reset the Qbank) and did the practice NBMEs. I didn't make flashcards (unlike Step 1, which I did), but for most people I recommend flashcards (I have an above average memory). I also did all the clinical science practice NBMEs.
For those I wrote out the learning objective (the 'key fact' that you need to know to get the question right) for each question I got wrong( (for most people, I recommend flashcards for this). For the ones I got right, I just flipped through them in the days before the test to make sure they were fresh in my mind.
I did pretty well on my shelf exams but not anywhere near my Step 2 CK performance. My raw scores ranged from 78 (pediatrics) to 90 (psychiatry), with most in the high 80's. I'm not sure what my percentiles were; our school has pretty lax criteria for the shelf score percentiles needed to get the highest clinical grades.

I always did all the NBME clinical mastery exams for each exam, which I think made my studying pretty efficient, and I was happy with the scores that I got given the amount of time I put in. I got a 262 on Step 1, so percentile-wise my Step 2 CK was significantly better, but of course I'm happy with both scores. I think the main difference is that Step 2 CK is less content based and more test-taking strategy based (I've worked as a test-prep tutor for over 8 years, and I think it's really helped me think like a test-maker and do very well with multiple choice tests just by looking at how the question is structured). But I do think I laid a good foundation by doing the clinical mastery series NBME before each of my shelf exams.
The main thing I think I did differently than other people was spending a lot of time on the Step 2 CK NBMEs. I made sure I understood every question really well and had mastered any content that was tested on those self-assessments (the comprehensive clinical science self-assessments, to be precise).
